2020-2021 Champions League Playoffs

In the past 20 years, the UEFA Champions League has become one of the world’s biggest and best soccer tournaments. The league is comprised of Europe’s best teams, who all compete to win the Champions League Final.
Although every team’s goal is to win the tournament, the Champions League is about more than just winning. The league helps unite fans across the continent since, without it, many of Europe’s top teams would never have a chance to play each other.

Bill Belichick Declines Medal of Freedom

Bill Belichick is widely regarded as one of the greatest coaches in NFL history with six Super Bowl wins as the head coach of the New England Patriots. On Jan. 10, he was offered the Presidential Medal of Freedom by former President Donald Trump. This is the highest civilian award in our country, and is in line with the Congressional Gold Medal. 
This is a seemingly odd choice, considering the Medal of Freedom is typically awarded to people with a different set of credentials, such as Rosa Parks or Mother Tereasa. While Belichick is regarded as a national treasure by some, it was widely considered a strange choice. That same day, Belichick turned down the medal, citing reasons surrounding the Capitol riot and how it was handled by former President Trump.

This Year’s NBA Rookie Of The Year Race

On Nov. 18, the NBA held its annual draft. Some consensus top prospects went at the top of the draft, and there were also some surprises. Only time will tell which talented players will succeed in their professional basketball careers. Still, their college or overseas statistics are often a good indicator of their potential achievements. 
According to VegasInsider.com, a website that details sports betting odds, going into the season the top three most likely rookies to win the 2021 Rookie of the Year award are Lamelo Ball, Anthony Edwards and James Wiseman respectively.

The Yankees’ Road to 28

After a devastating game five loss in the divisional round to the Tampa Bay Rays last season, the Yankees are looking to bounce back and try to win their 28th World Series in franchise history. Coming into this season, the Yankees are ranked as a top-five team with one of the best hitting lineups in all of Major League Baseball. Although their exceptional hitting contributed to many wins, their inconsistent pitching and injuries held the Yankees back from advancing further into the playoffs.
