The National Basketball Association playoffs are underway and it certainly is one for the history books, with several extremely close games starting off the postseason. By Joey Askin ‘24
As the National Basketball Association's regular season concluded, the Los Angeles Lakers, and particularly Lebron James, found themselves in unprecedented territory. The preseason projected top seed in the western conference, the Lakers unexpectedly limped to the finish line as the 11th seed and had the eighth worst record in the entire league. Following an action-packed start to the Baseball season, three top teams have emerged. In terms of Win-Loss record the Dodgers and Giants lead Major League Baseball, each having a record of 7-2 (as of April 18th), while the Mets have gotten their season off to a great start after their eventful offseason (which featured a 99-day work stoppage alongside a hectic free agency) with a record of 7-3m and are currently holding the first place spot in their division. |
